A centenary symposium celebrating the Dymock Poets, who gathered in Gloucestershire a 100 years ago to write, walk and support each other on their creative journeys. Featuring talks, panels and creative responses to the work of the Dymock Poets by modern Gloucestershire writers.

7-9pm, Free.  Join us for an evening of scaly tales and serpentine poetry to celebrate the launch of Desiring Dragons: creativity, imagination and the Writer’s Quest, by Kevan Manwaring, published by the Compass Books. Black Book Cafe, Silver Rooms, Nelson St, Stroud, 7pm doors, 7.30pm start. Free – but arrive early for a chair &/or slot (less than 10 mins, performed without a text – dragon-themed contributions favoured)

7-9pm, Free. Featuring guest storytellers from the Newent storytelling group, emceed by Kirsty Hartsiotis. All welcome – performers & listeners. Arrive early for a seat/slot – less than 10 mins, performed without text only. Delicious cakes and hot drinks available. Bring your own take away if you like! Relaxed and friendly. 

 

STORYTELLING FOR A GREENER WORLD + THE WORLD WE MADE
